Convert text to vector path in Illustrator
1. Highlight the text you want to convert
2. Right click on it and choose “Create Outline”
(Shift+CTRL+O on Windows, Shift+Command+O on Mac)
3. Now you can edit your outlined text
Keep in mind that you can’t change the text afterward. But People with no access to the font can also open the file if outlines are created because the text is no longer saved as a font.

I’m a Designer and I also do change text to outlines when I don’t want that a client can make any changes to the text. But always keep a copy of your final work where you haven’t changed it (maybe you have to do some adjustments in the text afterwards) 😉
