Photoshop is only black and white

Is your entire file just black and white and even if you pick a color it is still grey? Most likely you are in the Grayscale mode. To change this follow these steps:

1. Go to “Image” and then click on “Mode”
2. Now choose another color-mode (they are described below)

Which color mode should I choose?

Grayscale: Everything is just black and white with no colors
RGB: Use this one if you create something digital (for screens)
CMYK: Use this one if you create something for print
LAB: Wider range of colors (Use this if you know what you are doing)

Good luck!

If you create a new document then always first think about the usage. So if it is made for print then choose CMYK and if it is for digital use then go with RGB.
