Quickly fix the color and brightness of a picture in Photoshop

Change brightness

1. Make sure your image is not locked (click on the lock)
2. Select your image
3. Go to “Image” then “Adjustments” and choose “Levels”
4. In the Input field, you can move the 3 points
5. Move the one in the center as you want
6. With the ones on the side make sure, that you stop where the graph starts to rise
7. Click “Ok”

Change color

1. Make sure your image is not locked (click on the lock)
2. Select your image
3. Go to “Image” then “Adjustments” and choose “Hue/Saturation”
4. Change the Colors as you want
5. By clicking on “Master” you can also edit each color individually
6. Click “Ok”

I know that colorful pictures look amazing. But don’t overdo it. Because specially in the beginning when you are not that trained, you tend to use way too much saturation.

Good luck!

Thank you for this good tutorial!
You can also change the brightness if you go to “image > Adjustments > Brightness & Contrast”.
