Outline text in Adobe Photoshop

1. Right click on your text layer and choose “Blending Options”
2. Activate stroke
3. Open the “Stroke” tab and do your adjustments

Be aware that from a design point of view outlines for texts are always something difficult. Take care that the color of your outline perfectly matches the color of the text. If your text is in front of something and you want a better visibility, then also consider using shadows instead of outlines.

Turn off the pixel grid in Photoshop

1. Go to “View” and then to “Show”
2. Uncheck “Pixel Grid”

Create a single guide

1. Display the ruler by going to “View” and then “Rulers”
2. Drag and drop the guide from the ruler inside the image
3. Additionally you can also go to “View” and then choose “New Guide”

Create complex layout grids

1. Go to “View” and then choose “New Guide Layout”
2. Adjust is to fit your ideas

Delete guides

1. Drag and drop the guide back to the ruler
2. To delete all guides go to “View” and click on “Clear Guides”
